I came to triathlon after falling out of love for cross country and track running. I had recently moved to Oxford and I needed something new to put the spark back into training. I watched an ITU race on the TV and thought ‘let’s give that a go’.

As most triathletes find, I started with a sprint to keep fit and it progressively snowballed into an all-consuming hobby!

In 2017 I raced my first Ironman and qualified for Kona. It was the start of a love affair with long-distance triathlon and since then I have competed in numerous long-distance events and returned to the Big Island in 2022. I’m also fortunate to have converted my wife to the sport, forming our very own Team Anderbury.

With over 10 years in the sport, with the advantage of a background in competitive running and swim coaching, I felt it was time to give back and help other athletes achieve their dreams.
